My Return

When I finally I got a computer, a good android phone and a quite cheaper internet connection from Powertel, I began again to search for ways to work and earn on the internet.

Only this time, I began with websites I had made a list of earlier on. And less to my surprise, as I had been disappointed earlier on, it was restriction after restriction.

I found out to get through with the process of signing up on a ‘work’ website in order to start using it, one of the requirements to complete signing up was to add a payment method (so that your money can get to you after working), but most of the available payment gateways were not available for use in Zimbabwe.

It was usually with a payment gateway named Pay-Pal, a peer to peer payment method available for use in most countries around the world, but in most third-world countries you can only send money, or make payments, with no function to receive funds.

Pay-Pal happened to be the only payment gateway on most websites I could work on, and there were no options for credit cards, if there happened to be any other payment gateway, it was also not available for use in Zimbabwe, for example (Stripe, Skrill).

And for a few websites that had an option for workers to receive their payments through International Bank Cards or Credit cards like Visa or Master Cards, there was a geographical location restriction, meaning I wasn’t welcome to work on the site within my country.

Trust me, there were a lot of websites that I visited in order to get online work, but the story was just the same. I thought of quitting again, but I had so much passion and belief in a meaningful web career.

But as it stood things were not going my way.

IN MY OWN UNDERSTANDING, I had been made to think that there were only a few other people in Zimbabwe interested in the filed of making money online, but it turned I was wrong.

Way lost!

As I began to explore the local web on gateways, it turned out there was a whole community interested in online work, and most of the people had already came across the challenges I was facing and some had written on the subjects on local websites.

Some even suggesting on ways to workaround some of the payment gateways.

None of it really worked, or worked at all. In short no one had found a way out. I felt defeated in all my efforts.

I would leave it all until people in Zimbabwe were fully opened up to it.

But what I found out through the local web were a number online payment methods that could be used in Zimbabwe, so before I could quit this time, I came up with a bit of a change in my strategy for searching for work online.

I began searching for payment gateways that were available for use in Zimbabwe.

And here are some of the payment methods;

Payoneer (You can sign up and receive a credit card sent to your home for free. CLICK HERE)

Skrill (Needs A Workaround)

2 Checkout

Wire Transfer/Direct Bank Deposit

Western Union

And I would do myself a favor and get myself the credit cards (I recommend Steward Bank it’s easier and cheaper to get)

Stripe (Stripe to Payoneer)

These payment methods work in most countries around the world.

Then I began to search for ways to search for work online and get paid through through those payments gateways.

Examples:

Work Online and Get Paid via Payoneer

Online Work Websites that pay via Skrill

How to make Money online and get paid through Payoneer

The results were a few, and hard to come by too. But the few that showed up were profitable.

So that’s how I came to find some of the ways I will be sharing with you that you can too can get started with your side-career.

Most people at entry level who are earning an income on the web do so through freelancing. There are loads of opportunities for freelancers with various skills on the web, and that is what I will mainly point out as ‘ways’ to make an income on the internet. And I will point out to some of the most prominent opportunities that are always available to pursue in order to earn income.
